There's a wealth of information on this board on how to obtain court orders in various jurisdiction and for various purposes, but it is not well organized. To rectify this, I am creating this sticky topic, in which I will list, when I get around to it, everyone who has posted about obtaining a court order, giving the court in which they are petitioning and the type of court order (to get a vital record released, to amend a vital record, to create a delayed record, a finding of "one and the same," or other). Court Orders: one, to address Surname issues. Some of my documents had spaces between the two pets of my surname and some did not. Court Order was needed to verify these are one in the same.
