My wife received her recognition from SF today! This ran a little longer than some others in SF (10 weeks), but still great timing overall. I'm not sure what drove the timing, but SF had to check with Detroit, Miami and LA for non-renunciation. It took nine months from the start of this process to recognition - having my wife's GF's original US citizenship document helped us greatly. She also benefited from an appointment trade that allowed us to shorten the wait significantly (Thanks Carina).

Thanks to everyone on this board who contributed information - we couldn't have done this without your help.

Thanks and correct. Passport appointment in a 3 weeks (we made it a few weeks ago in anticipation). I'm kicking off my JM work now, but expect it will take some time to get the certificates from the comune.
